Mason Sand

Our mason sand is a fine, clean sand with small, uniform grains—commonly used in both construction and landscaping for its smooth texture and versatility. Here are the main uses:
-
Mortar Mixes: As the name suggests, mason sand is a key ingredient in mixing mortar for laying bricks, blocks, and stone. Its fine consistency helps create a smooth, workable mortar that bonds well.
-
Flagstone and Paver Base: Mason sand is often used as a bedding layer under flagstone, pavers, and other flat stonework. It helps level the surface, fills in gaps between stones, and provides good drainage.
-
Play Areas & Volleyball Courts: Because it’s soft and fine, mason sand is also popular for sandboxes, play areas, and sports courts—offering a cleaner, smoother surface than coarse sand.
-
Topdressing & Soil Amendment: It can be lightly spread over lawns to level uneven areas or mixed into soil to improve drainage and texture.
